You are free to do whatever is on your mind; so go for it in style.
You can still look great in a one-piece suit or tankini. Just wear whatever you want to. Not Helpful 3 Helpful I have big thighs and I would like to hide my stretch marks on my belly. What type of swimsuit should I get?
I'd recommend an open-back one piece. Pick a color or pattern that's flattering to draw attention away from your thighs. Not Helpful 2 Helpful It depends on the swimsuit. Most are designed to fit according to traditional sizes, but some companies have their own system. Not Helpful 8 Helpful You should wear whatever you think is cute and comfortable.
If that's a one piece, awesome. If you like two pieces, go for it. Look for a top in the junior's section. If that doesn't work out, you can always get an alteration. Not Helpful 2 Helpful 9. If you want a more traditionally feminine fit, you can also try women's swim shorts.
Not Helpful 4 Helpful If I were you, I would wear a full piece normal , maybe with an open back. Not Helpful 5 Helpful Most swimsuits have pads in the tops that act as a bra.
Panties are not needed, either. I have an unusually large chest for my age and a big butt. I am also a little chubby, but I feel like I am fat in the belly and my thighs are huge.
What swimsuit do I pick? You could wear a one piece with padding fitted into it. Also, if you feel like your thighs and belly are fat, you could wear some long, high-waisted shorts. A big butt is also considered attractive, but if you don't want the extra attention, the shorts I mentioned earlier are great at hiding that. Not Helpful 0 Helpful 1. By using this service, some information may be shared with YouTube. Tips Bathing suit sizes tend to be very different from, and more traditional than most clothing. In many cases, you may go up a size or two in a swimsuit without it actually meaning anything other than that the swimsuit fits you well. Swimsuits tend to enlarge a bit when wet, so make sure that your swimsuit is not already too large when you buy it.
You definitely don't want to lose it when you dive into a pool! It can also cling unflatteringly in wrinkled rolls when wet if it's too large, giving the impression of extra weight. Don't presume that just because a swimsuit is more expensive that it is better.
The only way to tell if it's going to work for you is by trying it on and moving about. Always be honest with yourself about your swimsuit fit. If your skin is bulging anywhere, you may need to try a larger size. In most cases, a larger size will be more flattering precisely because skin isn't hanging out. Also, you can buy separate thin lycra dive skins to wear over your swimwear and under your wetsuit that make the whole wiggling procedure a lot easier as it helps the wetsuit slide on and off easier. Hi Sewphisticated and thanks for your advice.
Can you use them with open cell wetsuits? Hi Christina, I hear you! I used to dive off the coast of North Carolina, Virginia, California etc. The lycra skin works well underneath neoprene as a base layer as it is very form fitting.
All things considered they are not terribly expensive and they do help a lot in the wiggling process. Neoprene wetsuits generally work best to keep you warm when they are really form fitting, minimizing the amount of water flow underneath the suit. It is this little bit of water that your body has to work hard in cold water to keep warm. So a loosely fitting suit is easier to put on, but would allow more water flow between you and the suit, thus making the suit less warm as your body works harder to keep the layer of water warm.
If you really get cold easily like I do you might want to consider a two piece wetsuit instead of a one-piece. This gives you a double layer and more protection on your core.
I have made the Pin Up girls swimsuit. I was lucky enough to take the swimsuit class in person with Beverly! The suit turned out great and the bra inside gives great support. I will put some pictures on the CSC ficker site. Awesome that you got to take it in person! Heading over to Flickr to check out your swimsuit…. I definitely recommend going down two sizes. Also I think their cup sizing is fairly accurate. Thank you for posting that information. Which appears to have gone oop, just within the last few days.
